- What are the biggest challenges to the cleaning industry in Hong Kong today?
We face big challenges these days because of the outbreak of COVID-19. Magic Clean strives to deliver professional, high-quality and effective cleaning services to our clients. At the same time, we also believe that Magic Clean has to take up the responsibility of the environmental issues and we try our best to achieve that in the cleaning industry in Hong Kong.
- How did you start working in the cleaning industry?
In 2003, Hong Kong was severely affected by SARS, I felt that cleaning services were very important, therefore I started up a cleaning company, while I was just a beginner in the field.
- What is Magic Clean doing in the area of sustainability?
We use cleaning products and equipment that are supported with evidence of minimal environmental impact. We are committed to providing safe, sustainable cleaning practices at all times.
- Tell us about your team daily cleaning routine at The Nate serviced studios?
We allocate our teammates to focus on the regular studio cleaning procedure and there is a dedicated teammate who would be dedicated to clean the whole communal area and all the door handles. Also, we have suggested putting the disinfectant doormat at The Nate’s at the entrance which we regularly disinfect with 1:99 diluted household bleach. We also clean all the carpets and rugs in property regularly.
- What are the biggest challenges in cleaning The Nate?
The biggest challenges would be the communal area on 12/F at The Nate. Since most of the residents would spend their time working or chilling on 12/F during day time, our cleaners are afraid of disturbing the residents while they are working or having meetings while they are cleaning the area using a vacuum for example.
- Where is your favourite spot at The Nate?
There is an ice cream shop called Gelato-go which is located on the ground floor at The Nate. I think it is a good spot for either working or chilling with your friends while having a delicious gelato!
